I started submitting loans directly to the VA San Francisco regional office, specifically hired to work on these vital loans. I had the privilege of learning from a retired Vietnam medic whose sole focus was simplifying the complex VA process for veterans.
Fast forward almost four decades, and my passion for helping veterans has only deepened. I've become an approved VA Credit Underwriter with full lending authority and an approved VA Staff Appraisal Reviewer (SAR). This extensive background means I'm uniquely equipped with "old school VA guidelines" — knowledge that can sometimes be lost on newer underwriters.
